AltGuard accesses your Shopify store's product data (specifically product titles, descriptions, and media) solely for the purpose of generating accessibility alt text. We do not collect or store sensitive personal information from your customers.
We use your product data to send to our AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate descriptive alt text. We do not use your data for advertising or any other purposes. Your product images and data are not used to train our AI models.
AltGuard processes data dynamically. We retain minimal application state necessary for functionality (e.g., job processing status). If you uninstall the app, we receive a Shopify webhook and immediately delete all store configuration and records associated with your shop from our database.
We comply with all Shopify privacy and data requirements. We respond to mandatory Shopify webhooks for customer data requests, customer data redaction, and shop redaction by deleting relevant data within the required timeframes.
